Terms of Service
The rules for using this site.
Accounts
Reading charts needs no account. Creating or editing one requires signing in with GitHub or Google. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and you may stop using it at any time by signing out. Note that the two are separate accounts — see theprivacy policy.
Charts you create
You keep ownership of what you write. By publishing a chart here you grant this site permission to store, display and distribute it, which is simply what is required to show it to readers.
Every chart is public. There is no private or unlisted option yet, so do not put anything in a chart that you would not publish openly.
Only post material you have the right to post. Even a list of titles can reproduce someone else’s work, so if you are adapting a chart from elsewhere, say so in the description.
Acceptable use
Do not use this site to:
- post unlawful content, or content that harasses or targets a person
- impersonate someone else
- infringe copyright, or reproduce a substantial part of someone else’s work without permission
- attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service, or work around its rate limits
- scrape the site in a way that degrades it for other people
Accounts and charts that breach these rules may be removed. There is no moderation queue or appeals process yet; both are planned.
Attribution and licensing
Still to be decided. A later release will either let each chart declare its own attribution and reuse terms, or set a single model here for the whole site. Until that is settled, assume the author of a chart holds the rights to it and ask before reusing one wholesale.
Availability and liability
This is a small, personally run site provided as-is, with no guarantee of availability, and no warranty that it is fit for any particular purpose. It can go down, lose data, or stop existing. Keep your own copy of anything you would mind losing.
Changes
These terms will be replaced with a reviewed version before the site is promoted anywhere. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the current version.
